Experimenting, Evolving & Creating

As self-taught potter, I am constantly learning and evolving my art. Drawn to vibrant jewel-coloured glazes and textured clay, my work is as unique as the rugged land and seascape that inspires me.

The marks I create are intuitive. Some resemble kowhaiwhai patterns seen in the art of whakairo, while others are reminiscent of ancient rock carvings and weather marks on the land. This work strongly reflects who I am and where I live in North Taranaki.
